Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and how we keep it safe.

BlueJay Mobile Mechanic ("we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information this website collects and how we use it.

What we collect

  • Repair requests: when you use the Book Service form, we collect your name, phone number, the vehicle's location, your vehicle details (type, VIN, year, make, model, engine, drivetrain), the services you pick and any details you type in.
  • Emergency location: if you tap "Text Jay my location," your phone asks permission to share your location. It goes only into a text message you send from your own phone. This website does not store it.
  • VIN lookup: when you tap Look Up, your VIN is sent to the free vehicle database run by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to fill in your vehicle details.

How we use it

  • To contact you, quote your repair and get the right parts.
  • To schedule and complete your service.
  • We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not send marketing texts or emails without your permission.

Who helps us run the site

  • Netlify hosts this website.
  • Web3Forms delivers Book Service form submissions to our email and checks them for spam.
  • NHTSA receives VINs entered in the VIN lookup.
